The Assessor’s Parcel Numbering system (APN) is the tie between property ownership, plat maps, and tax roll information. This system reduces lengthy legal descriptions to unique numerical expressions which positively identify all properties in the county. Siskiyou County has nearly 55,000 parcels of land on the Secured Roll, and another 3,500 assessments on the Unsecured Roll.

The APN is a 12-digit number, which can be entered with or without hyphens. Take care to enter leading zeros for Books 1 through 67; for example, Book 1 as 001, Book 21 as 021. You may search for a single APN, all parcels in a particular Book, or all parcels in a given Book/Page (001 will return all parcels in Book 1; 001-55 will return all parcels in Book 1, Page 55).
